The process varies, typically from two weeks to one month for the song to be written, and from one to three months for the professional recording. This depends on a variety of factors, including when interviews are able to be completed, when forms are sent back, how busy I am, and recording studio availability. Quicker process is available for an extra cost, depending on availability.

Individual interviews typically last from two to three hours for the initial interview. I will ask questions about your life, trying to pull out what has been most special to you and/or your loved ones. I will also play various types of music for you, so that you can pick the style of song that you would like. For group processes, the process varies, but I will usually do a combination of interviews and questionnaires, depending on the number of people involved. Group songs require a point person, who will contact participants with the form, and who I may have follow-up questions for. For other types of songs, interviews and forms depend on the song type and process (individual or group).

Yes! Live performances are available for an extra cost, if we are available at the time of your event. We will come to you, and bring all of the sound equipment needed, unless you already have a sound system as part of your event.

The recording process varies in type and length, and your choose the level of complexity of production. I can make you a simple recording fairly quickly and inexpensively, but you may also choose to add a "band". You may choose the number and types of instruments, the type of vocalist (male, female, age of vocalist), and the all around level of production. Cost will vary, depending on how many instruments and type of vocalist you choose. (Using me as the primary instrumentalist and vocalist means less cost to you).

Cost varies, depending a number of factors including the amount of time the songwriting will take, the level of production you choose for the recording, and if you choose to add a live performance. I will provide an estimate for you at the time you order the custom song. Please contact me for more information.
